If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. Sure, there's something not right about saying a current game is great merely because it blows away its ancestors. Then again, those side-by-side comparisons help underscore the fact that Xbox Madden 10 is a truly top-notch football video game. The players themselves have closer resemblance to space aliens than members of a football team. Just needed to get that one off my chest. An early symptom of the low-tech nature of older video games was graphics that just blinked like crazy, rendering the action impossible to read. Audio was as awful as the video. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. Soon, the first round of the console wars would begin, and the competition created a football video game of their own. It had made the necessary innovations to make sports video games some serious business - the characters were animated better, without the same graphical setbacks, and this time, there was a scrolling screen, a necessity for football video games. It wasn't there yet, though.
No doubt, it was a real exciting time for hardcore gamers, but there was still a ways to go before football video games would dominate the industry. Several years would pass before that came to pass. Technology had caught up, albeit slightly, to gamers' football desires, to the point where this game has taken on an iconic status for gamers today. Over the years, this was the yardstick by which all football video games were measured.
Why this went supernova isn't hard to figure out - with actual offensive and defensive strategies, they brought in a new level of realism. This was the ultimate step up in football video games for a long time, so gamers really proclaimed this one the best football game out there, year after year. It's one of the few "old school" games that can still excite today's crop of hardcore gamers. While worthy of praise, it still trails in the distance from Xbox Madden 10.
With the great strides in gaming, football video games have reached a level worthy of the fans. Guess it's a waste of time to do too much putting down of the other, less sophisticated football video games. We think you understand. They may have been flawed, but we needed those older games as a "springboard" to what we have today. Hardcore gamers have every reason to be fired up - Xbox Madden 10 really is the winning touchdown. The reviews are as positive as the reaction from the gamers themselves - it's a hit with the fans as well as the video game sites. Xbox Madden 10 reviews tend to feature statements such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has really concocted a Super Bowl sized hit with Xbox Madden 10, as expected. Don't let the naysayers shape your opinion - Xbox Madden 10 is a game for the ages. Not to put down any other Xbox sports video games, which have certainly earned their solid rep, but Xbox Madden 10 is just the best of the best. It's the favorite of hardcore gamers, and with good cause. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money. It's a great time to be an Xbox Madden 10 expert - now you can slug it out for some real money. When you've conquered the Xbox Madden 10 playing field, you'll be conquering your rivals - and snagging their cash.
